Ashizuki made high quality Nunome Zogane items during the Meiji era. Unfortunately, no information is found about Ashizuki's life, nor information from the exhibitions
catalogs or even a single advertisement. It is possible that he was a pupil in a large workshop, perhaps of O. Komai or S. Komai, then left and started
to produce his own artwork.
